
In 1899, New York City were given its information from an military of ragged orphans and runaways, called newsies. They bought the newspapers of Joseph Pulitzer, William Randolph Hearst, and other wonderful publishers. Like many of his buddies, newsie Jack Kelly (Christian Bale) dreams of a higher life some distance from the problem of the streets. But while Pulitzer and Hearst boost distribution costs at the newsies’ rate, Jack finds a reason to fight for, and need to determine between his desires and his newfound responsibility. tt0104990
