Synopsis

Alice Howland, a linguistics professor at Columbia University, celebrates her fiftieth birthday together with her health practitioner husband John and their three adult kids. After she forgets a word at some stage in a lecture and turns into lost throughout a jog on campus, Alice’s doctor diagnoses her with early onset familial Alzheimer’s ailment. Alice’s eldest daughter, Anna, and son, Tom, take a genetic test to discover if they may increase the disease. Alice’s more youthful daughter Lydia, an aspiring actress, comes to a decision not to be examined. As Alice’s memory starts offevolved to fade, she daydreams of her mom and sister, who died in a car crash whilst she turned into a teen. She memorizes phrases and units a sequence of personal questions about her phone, which she answers every morning. She hides sleeping capsules in her room, and statistics a video message instructing her future self to swallow the tablets whilst she can no longer answer the questions. As her disease advances, she becomes not able to offer focused lectures and loses her task. She becomes lost searching for the toilet in her own domestic and does no longer recognize Lydia after seeing her perform in a play.. tt3316960
